What is a typical day on Aurora Boreal catamaran?
Relax, relax and more relax. Simply let it go. Enjoy the marine breeze, the rustling of the water caressing the hull of the catamaran, the warmth of the Mediterranean sun or a swim in crystalline waters. Read a good book rocked by the light movement of the waves or take a walk in a white sandy cove with the pine tree fragrance in the air. Go to the town and enjoy its celebrations and traditions, meet its people and discover its gastronomy and its night life. A day in the Aurora Boreal, is simply a day in paradise….

What routes will we follow?
The schedule of your vacations can change every second, depending on your preferences. In Menorca there is multitude of fantastic places to visit. The skipper will propose you different places to go or will answer to your wishes, always of course, depending on the security imposed by the meteorological conditions. Menorca keeps a great variety of wonderful places that would make you feel more than satisfied.

What dates are the best to come?
All the seasons are perfect to come to Aurora Boreal, but that depends on the weather conditions you prefer. From May to the end of September the days are usually warmer and less windy, especially for those who enjoy the sun baths, snorkelling and long summer days. The rest of the year is characterized by shorter days, cooler and with more probability to have wind, what is perfect for those who enjoy sailing and lighter temperatures.

Who should go?
You can come alone or you can organize a trip with your friends or mates from work. Also you can enjoy unforgettable days with your family and relatives. The catamaran has comfortable room for eight people so you would be able to organize yourself as you prefer.

CHECKLIST

What will you need to bring on the boat?

The best way to prepare your luggage is do it as if you were going to be out from home just for two days. When you get it ready take out half of it, and even like that you would still have clean clothes at the end of the trip! One important thing is to bring soft luggage. Hard case will be difficult to store anywhere on the boat. Besides soft luggages are lighter and easy to fit anywhere on the boat.

If you bring your camera or any other kind of electronic device it’s a good idea to bring them with some kind of protection to avoid splashes or moist. You can bring also a one-use under water camera if you want to take some pictures of marine life.

For those who come with glasses, both regular or sunglasses, we recommend securing them with a strap.  In general it is a little risky to sail with watches, bracelets, rings or other expensive objects that are not really necessary and you can drop into the water accidentally.

When you come with babies or kids remember to bring their feeding bottles and formula, diapers, wet wipes and some of their favourite toys. Avoid bringing plasticine (modelling compound), felt pen, small pieces such as LEGO, as it will damage the boat and someone may step on it and slide.

A hat or cap, sun cream, or mosquito’s repellent spray can be others of the useful things you should bring.
